Bubbles, Dancing, and Joy: Photographing the Sea Buddy Ball in Richmond, Virginia

Every now and then, I get to photograph an event that’s just pure joy from start to finish—and the Sea Buddy Ball was exactly that. This homeschool celebration was filled with laughter, dancing, and more bubbles than I’ve ever seen in one place! It was a magical evening that felt like stepping into an underwater world, and I loved every second of documenting it.

The event was beautifully put together with thoughtful, whimsical details. From the ocean-inspired backdrop to the playful sea-themed decorations, it was clear how much care went into creating a memorable experience for all the children and families who attended. And the kids? They owned the night—twirling, posing, and dancing with the kind of uninhibited happiness that reminds you how special childhood really is.
