Amanda Miles Photography - Goochland, Virginia - Senior Portrait Session
I'm so excited to share a few of the highlights from Shelby's senior photo session. As a portrait photographer based out of Goochland, Virginia it is always fun when clients pick locations close by since I know the area well and have more opportunities to scope out little hidden spots we can use for photo sessions. When Shelby and her mom filled out the Senior Questionnaire, they described her as a "flower child" and that got my wheels turning about ideas for what we would do during her photo shoot. We discussed some possible locations and finally decided on the gardens at J. Sargent Reynolds which was a perfect spot for her. They have a beautiful garden location maintained by their horticulture department that is tucked away in a remote spot.
We had the whole place to ourselves for almost the entire time, so we could be as silly or serious as we wanted without worrying about anyone else. For this sweet, free spirit flower child with long flowy hair and bare feet it was a perfect location. Within a short distance walk, there are fields, a patch of woods and so many different plants and flowers. We had so much fun just playing around, trying different things and creating really beautiful portraits of a really beautiful person. It was such a joy to be a part of documenting the significant milestone that is senior year.
Shelby, you are one amazing young person! I am excited to see what you do next and I wish you the best on whatever adventure awaits you next. Congratulations!!!!
