l was recently asked to photograph several of the programs offered by the organization, Shalom Farms. Shalom Farms is a fantastic non-profit that works to provide access to healthy food for ALL in the Richmond area. I am quite familiar with their farm operations where they grow the produce. Volunteers can visit the farm to work and help with the growing process, but it was an eye opening experience to see where some of that beautiful produce is getting distributed. I loved seeing all the smiling faces of shoppers at the corner store programs and mobile markets that go to many of Richmond's food deserts. Please check out their work! It's a wonderful place for families, church groups, school groups, businesses or individuals to support with their time and energies.
